Information, Facts & Origins of the Norwich Terrier Dog Breed The Norwich Terrier originates from England and was bred originally for hunting fox, rats and mice. The Norwich Terrier is a native breed to Norfolk, England, although they are called Norwich Terriers. It's origins can be dated back to the 1800's. The Norwich Terrier is also known by the nickname of the "Jones" terrier after its American owner.
