It's origins can be dated back to the 1200's. The Bulldog is also known by the other names of Old English Bulldog and British Bulldog. It is also referred to as the American Bulldog. This dog is classified as one of the Non-Sporting Dog Group which we go on to describe in detail in the section at the bottom of this page.
